TECHNAL and Saint-Gobain Glass are joining forces to drive decarbonisation by helping the building industry design sustainable façades that have circularity built in. The two companies are leading the way through the use of low embodied carbon products thanks to a high percentage of recycled materials: specifically, TECHNAL aluminium façade products manufactured from Hydro CIRCAL® 75R and the Saint-Gobain Glass ORAÉ® glass substrate.

Accelerating their commitment to sustainability, TECHNAL, part of Hydro have become the first aluminium building system company to manufacture door, window and curtain walling profiles from 100% recycled aluminium - Hydro CIRCAL 100R. The new recycled material is produced from 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium. This means it is possible to specify profiles with a near-zero carbon footprint (0.5kg of CO2e / kg of aluminium on average) - the lowest in the world.
